WEEKLY FEFLECTION 3/17/10

Working at a daycare is not always the same, because you never know what mood the baby's are going to be in. At times they are playful, but at other times they cry and cry for no reason. Some days they may not be feeling good and it makes it a whole lot worse on you taking care of them. I this time helped the new nursery worker take care of the baby's. We both were learning so it was really a good experience trying to take care of them on our own. One thing we had a problem with is trying to get the baby's to go to sleep. This time I learned it gets tiring having to watch kids all day.

Topic 1 Task 2

We could add..

Working at home- In your spare time practice things at home that you have learned at PLC. This will help you learn things better by going over it.

Want to graduate- Doing this will have you on a better path for your future.

Topic 1 Task 1

I mostly need to imrove on being able to set high expectations. I am a person that has never set goals I just do things as I go and expect them to come out for the bast. To improve this i will try to set one goal at a time to plan on what i am going to do in the future. Doing this will allow me to know what I want to learn here a PLC to help get to where i want to be. Making goals may keep more motivated on graduating to pursue my goal.

Weekly Reflection 3/3/2010

My first time at Little Angels Daycare was really very interesting. My supervisor mrs.Lumpkin really made it feel as if it was a real job. I helped Mrs.Lumpkin watch infants from the age of 3 months to 1 year old. She taught me how to care for the babys and keep schedule as i do so. The schedules are for the parents to know what their child did through out the day. I got to experience how it would be to have a child. I also learned you have to care alot more for a child then you do yourself.
